William “Bill” Hamilton has had the honor of serving IBEW Local 1105 as business manager and financial secretary since July of 2001. He began his career as an un-indentured apprentice in 1987, before being accepted into the apprenticeship program in 1988. Bill topped out as a Journeyman electrician in 1993 and worked 10 years in the field before joining the staff of the Union Hall as an organizer. He has also served in the capacity of executive board chairman, jobsite steward, and an instructor for the Newark, Ohio Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee. In addition to his usual duties, Bill also serves as the chairman for the IBEW 4th District Health Fund. Bill’s passion for the IBEW, and specifically for Local Union 1105 can be seen in all he does. In his spare time, Bill enjoys spending time with his family and all things car related.

Benita has held her position with IBEW Local 1105 since November of 1988 and works hard to keep things running smoothly for all of the members. Within the office, she performs a multitude of daily, weekly, and monthly duties which include, but are not limited to taking calls, assisting members with questions on insurance, processing pension applications and membership forms, bookkeeping, and required reporting for taxes and per capita. When not at work, Benita enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends, family, and pets.

Nick Hamilton
Business Agent

Nick has been a member of IBEW Local 1105 since 1997. He went through the apprenticeship program and topped out as a journeyman inside wireman in 2002. His work in the Union Hall began in the spring of 2021, and his role as business agent means providing representation for members, manpower for contractors, working alongside the membership development team to organize open-shop electricians, and aiding in the smooth operation of the Local Union. In addition, Nick also sits on the Newark Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee, and has served as the recording secretary for Local 1105 since 2012. In his spare time he enjoys fast cars and making life difficult for his teenage daughter.

Ashley Labaki

ashley@ibewlocal1105.org

Ashley comes from a varied background that includes marketing, sales, and performance. She began part-time, managing portions of IBEW Local 1105’s website and social media in January 2020 which eventually led to a full-time position in the office in October of the same year. Since joining the team at the Union Hall, her role and responsibilities have been ever evolving and currently include business development, marketing, community outreach, recruitment and top-down organizing efforts, event planning, and cooking for Union Meetings. Ashley is excited for the opportunity to aid Local 1105 in achieving goals as we look toward the future. When she is not working, she loves reading a good book, exploring new places, and distance running.

A devoted father, Mikey loves spending time with his kids whenever possible. In addition, he is a connoisseur of fine whiskeys and an avid Cleveland Browns fan.

After entering the electrical field in 2015, Jordan worked as a Foreman, Project Manager, and an Estimator before joining the IBEW in 2022. The IBEW has greatly improved his life and he is eager to be part of the Membership Development Team with Local 1105, to share the impact it has had both for him and his family. Originally from Tennessee, Jordan served in the Tennessee National Guard for six years. Outside of work, he is active in his Church and really enjoys the outdoors, specifically fishing.

Yance joined the Local 1105 team as receptionist in October of 2023, and her smiling face is typically the first one you will see when you visit the Union Hall. She and her husband have two beautiful daughters and live on a 30-acre farm where they raise cows. Working full-time and being a wife and mom means Yance stays quite busy. However, when she does have some free time, she enjoys baking cookies and watching Buckeyes’ football.

Colton Jordan

c.jordan@ibewlocal1105.org

Colton Jordan, a Coshocton native with a sales and marketing background, became a member of IBEW Local 1105 in 2018. He started his journey as a Construction Wireman and then was quickly accepted into the apprenticeship program. Five years later, he met all the criteria and qualifications and topped out as a Journeyman Inside Wireman in 2023. In his short time of being a Journeyman, Colton has held the position of Foreman and currently serves as the Financial Secretary for Local 1105’s RENEW chapter. Colton is newly married and most recently a first-time dad to a beautiful baby boy. Nothing gives him more pleasure than spending time with his wife, son, family, and friends.
