James "Randy" Hermey
It is with great sorrow that I report the passing of James "Randy" Heremy. Randy was a member of the IBEW since May of 1994. Randy will be greatly missed. Rest in peace.
James “Randy” Hermey, 62 of Corning, Ohio died at 12:07pm on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio surrounded by his family.
Born February 16, 1949 in Nelsonville, Ohio to the late Harry Hermey and Joan Rodgers Hermey Jerome.
Randy was an electrician for IBEW local 683 and 1105; a coal miner for Peabody Coal Company; Air Force Veteran of Vietnam and an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.
Survived by: Loving Wife, Barbara Starlin Hermey of the home.
Children: Sherri (Joe) Blaney of Corning; Brian (Tricia) Hermey of New Lexington; Markie (Renee) McFann of Shawnee and Brian (Heather) McFann of Corning.
Grandchildren: Ashley, Amber, Brent, Autumn, Askya, Heavenly, Joey and Xander.
Brothers and Sisters: Mark (Kacie Preston) Hermey of Reynoldsburg, Tom (Julie Harley) Jerome of Buckeye Lake, Ann Hermey-Nutter of Corning, Mary Jo (Patrick) Boyle of Gahanna and Susie (Joe) Gatesman of Gahanna.
Brothers-in-laws and Sisters-in-laws: David Starlin, Bob (Ruth) Starlin, Danny (Evelyn) Starlin, Jeff (Janice) Starlin, Gary Starlin, Robin (Larry) Wilson and Betty Starlin.
Mother-in-law: Doris Starlin.
In addition to his parents, preceded in death by uncle, Sonny Rodgers and brother-in-law, Tom Starlin.
Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm & 6-8pm on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the Roberts Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, August 29, 2011 at the funeral home with Reverend Carolyn Hoskinson officiating.
Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery with graveside military services by the Corning American Legion.
